Consistent Document Formats -- Templates and Macros   To Top of Page

In the legal community, producing consistent and clean documents is not only at the heart of the services provided but is essential for maintaining client relationships and keeping with court standards. With Legal MacPac Templates, the Firm or Department creates a structure for consistent document production so the individual user doesn't have to worry about formatting when creating a document. All they have to worry about is content. Each of the templates are designed specifically for the legal environment and are then customized to Firm or Department standard requirements.

Templates ensure that the complex formatting work is automatically done for the user. And Legal MacPac Macros ensure that when editing documents, these standards are maintained.

Document Standards with Flexibility for User Preferences To Top of Page

Every Firm and Department is made up of individuals and each individual may have different document style preferences and needs. Legal MacPac allows for personal preferences within the structure of each of the templates. Offering the flexibility for users to apply formatting changes within the structure of a template assures that document standards are applied when users want the freedom to change minor document formatting .

For example, an author can select to create a pleading with 26-line or 28-line formatting and decide to include the Firm or Department name in the paper using the Pleading Template. The Pleading Template offers these options via the template and macros, so that the changes can be made automatically, instead of forcing the user to manually manipulate the document formatting. Making options like these available within the structure of the template ensures that documents remain consistent.

Accessible Customization, Installation and Maintenance To Top of Page

Legal MacPac is designed to make customization of the templates and macros to Firm or Department standards efficient. Using the generic version of MacPac, we customize each template based on documents submitted to our programmers by the Firm or Department. And when customization is completed, MacPac is simple to install.

Once customization is complete and MacPac is installed, many of the changes the Firm may require can be done through editing databases supplied with MacPac. Items such as default dialog settings, margins, fonts, letterhead, etc., can be changed either through the databases or from within a document by IS personnel without the need for editing or adding code.

Integration
